Surgery performed through the “intramuscular technique” which by means of a small incision in the interior fold of the inner gluteal zone creates a pocket in the main gluteal area with the object to insert a silicon implant.
When referring to Gluteoplasty, this technique is combined with liposuction of the adjacent zones to the mentioned area with the goal of obtaining as a result a more defined form
Dr. Ovidio Alarcón makes the following comments in relation to this type of Plastic Surgery:
“For this surgery I generally use oval shaped implants and with a volume between 180 and 340 cc. This type of implant allows a rounded result. Additionally these implants have been designed to support weight and there is no fear that they will tear easily; furthermore, intramuscular injections in that region are a contraindication. The scar is hardly noticeable as a result of the incision placed strategically under the buttock. After the operation the patient is required to sleep face down or sideways for the first three weeks and to wait for seating at least two weeks, seating should be done at a complete 90 degree angle. Possible complications are: unsatisfactory results due to asymmetry in the placement of the implants, seromas (collection of serum beneath the skin), hematomas, problems with the scar or capsular contraction. “
This surgery is adequate for patients that wish to improve their gluteal contour providing it a greater volume and prominence, given the implant.

GLUTEOPLASTY using FAT GRAFT INJECTION: Dr.Ovidio Alarcón, shares his experiences in the practice of this plastic surgery
“This is a safe and effective surgical procedure, where the patient’s own resources obtained from the liposuction of certain corporal areas with excess fat is applied via an intramuscular injection to the targeted areas, functioning as a fat graft insert, given the dense vain structure of the muscle tissue. Only in this manner, satisfactory results are obtained for long term. This has been demonstrated in animal experimental studies and in the hundreds of cases that I have treated, Fat volumes of 200 to 600 cc. can be injected as required by the patient. The risks are low when this procedure is done by a qualified Plastic Surgeon and include: unsatisfactory results and infections as a consequence of the fat being unable to integrate as an insert to the muscle. This procedure has an advantage the fact that the patient will not be restricted to sleeping face down after the operation and being able to sit down as it occurs with the Gluteoplasty using implants.
The greatest volume is not reduced with exercise or when losing weight and it doesn’t produce cellulitis. The results of this procedure are appreciated early though there is a desinflamation time period in the zones affected by the liposuction.”

When there is not an excessive amount of fatty tissue accumulated and mild sagging, the solution is the liposuction of the neck.
This is a simple ambulatory procedure, lasting thirty minutes: it requires dressing and post-surgery therapies.
In the occasions when a small chin is present, a mentoplasty procedure will enhance the result. Necks with more fat tissue and looser skin require of a more complex cervical surgery”
